Note: You can only customize Reflections or create Group Guides on the MirrorTalk web platform.
How Can I Create a Group?
1. Navigate to the 'Personal' Section:
Hover your cursor over the 'Personal' section to expand the list of options.
2. Select '+ New'
From the expanded list, click on the '+ New' option.
3. In the group creation form that appears:
- Enter the name of your group.
- Specify the grade for your group.
4. Select the Access Type
Choose one of the following access types for your group:
- Login - Full Dashboard: Participants and Manager get full dashboard access.
- Login - Limited Dashboard: Participants see understanding score and lesson.
- Session: Participate by name only. No email is required.
- Open: Participate with no name. Video required.
5. Choose the Language
Select the preferred language for the group from the available options.
6. Select Recording Options
Decide what you want to record during reflections:
- Audio
- Video
7. Enable or Disable the Pre-Reflection Greetings
Toggle the pre-reflection greeting on or off based on your preferences.
8. Save your Group
Click 'Create' to save your new group with the specified settings.
9. Invite Group Managers
Invite unlimited 'Group Managers' (co-teachers, coaches, administrators, mentors, etc.) to view your dashboard and collaborate on participant data. Share insights effortlessly with a unique invite link to foster collaboration.
How Can I Manage a Group Dashboard?
Once you've created a group, you can manage what you see on its dashboard. Choose trends to see how participants are doing on Reflection, Zone, Mindset, and Tone scores – learn the meaning of each score here.
Use filters to check reflections of everyone or specific participants within a selected time frame.
Note: To have these metrics appear, assign at least two reflections to the group. 📖 Learn How to Assign/Share Reflections to Groups.
How Can I Change the Name of a Group?
1. Select the Group
Locate and hover over the group you want to rename.
2. Access Group Settings
Click the three dots in the upper-right corner → select 'Settings'.
3. Edit the Group Name
Enter the new name in the field provided.
4. Save Changes
Click 'Save' to apply.
How Can I Delete a Group?
1. Select the Group
Locate the group you wish to delete.
2. Access Group Options
Click the three dots → choose 'Delete Group'.
3. Confirm Deletion
Click 'Delete' to permanently remove the group.
How Can I Edit the Name of a Student?
1. Select the Group
Choose your group from the list.
2. Open 'Manage Participants'
Click on the three dots → choose 'Manage Participants'.
3. Find and Edit
Locate the student → click the three dots next to their name → update the name → Save.

Observational Recording as Part of the Group Activity
1. To create an activity that includes observational recording for your group, select the desired group at the top of the M2 screen.
2. Choose an existing group or create a new one using "+ Group".
3. You will be prompted to create a group — follow the steps described above. Once ready, select "Create".
4. You’ll be redirected to the Group Dashboard. To set up a reflection, select "New".
5. You’ll be taken to the Library, where you can select a Reflection or Group Guide. Learn more in this article.
6. After clicking Assign, select participants and start the session. Once the Reflection is completed, click Exit and review it on the M2 device or mirrortalk.ai.

How Can I Use Groups?
The Group Activity in M2 helps you and your students focus on specific activities and later reflect and analyze the results. Below is an example showing customization both on mirrortalk.ai and M2 — both are identical in setup.
1. Log In and Select Your Group
After logging in, choose your group and select a reflection from the Library or click Custom.
2. Write or Record an Objective
Define your reflection objective — either write or record it.
3. Choose Format and Focus
Select Format and Focus to tailor the session.
4. Assign the Reflection
Complete the assignment step using the M2 device.
