If the video was deleted by mistake from the mobile device, there is a possibility to retrieve it via connecting your mobile device to the computer using a mobile device to a computer cable.
Retrieving videos from your Swivl Capture app via iTunes (iOS mobile device + Mac with macOS Mojave 10.14 or earlier, or PC):
Make sure you upgrade your macOS or iTunes program before starting this process - see more details here
If you want to pull your video files directly off your iOS device to your computer, without uploading them to Swivl, you can do so through iTunes as described below.
1. Plug your iOS device into your computer using a mobile device to a computer cable.
2. Open iTunes and click on your device in the top menu.
3. Click 'File Sharing' and scroll through the list of apps to find the Swivl Capture app.
4. Click the Swivl Capture app icon to access your Swivl Capture app files. On the right you will see a list of documents stored within the app, most will be .mov video files. Select the ones you want to keep.
- At the bottom of the page, click Save…, select the folder where you want your videos to reside, and click Save.
Retrieving videos from your Swivl Capture app via Finder (iOS mobile device + Mac with macOS Catalina 10.15)
1. Plug your iOS device into your computer using a mobile device to a computer cable.
2. Open Finder and select your mobile device from 'Locations'
3. Go to 'Files' and click twice on Swivl Capture app
4. Find the video you want to restore and move it to 'Downloads'
Via Android Device & USB Cable:
If you want to save your video files directly from your Android device to your computer, without uploading them to Reflectivity (Teams) platform, you can do so by plugging your device into a USB port as follows.
1. Plug your Android device into your computer using a cable.
2. Open the device storage in File Explorer (PC) or the Finder (Mac).
3. If you are using a Mac, you may need to download software to allow you to access the device storage.
4. Follow the file path: Android > data > com.swivl.android > files > Movies
5. Drag the video file you want to the folder on your computer that you would like to save it to.
