1. Where can I find the Remote?
The Remote is located at the back of the M2. To remove it from the M2 and start using it, simply press the button located at the top of the Remote.
2. How can I turn the Remote on/off?
To turn the Remote on, hold the button on the right side of the Remote for 3 seconds. The light will blink a few times. Once it is turned on, the light will become solid. If you want to turn the Remote off, repeat the same steps.
3. How can I charge or pair the Remote?
To charge the Remote, simply insert it back into its Dock at the back of the M2. When you see a blinking light, it means the Remote is still charging. It usually takes about two hours for the Remote to be fully charged. To check the level of the Remote Battery, simply select the gear icon located at the top right corner of your M2 screen to access Quick Settings. In that section, you'll also discover details about the estimated time left for it to fully discharge.
The primary remote comes automatically paired with the M2 robot. If you'd like to pair additional remotes, simply place each one into the M2 dock and wait about 5 seconds—the pairing process will complete automatically.
You can check the connection status of your remotes through the visual indicators shown in the settings. These will show which remotes are currently connected, and if any were previously paired.
To unpair a remote:
-
Make sure the remote is turned on.
-
In the app settings, locate the remote by its assigned color.
-
Tap the remote you want to unpair.
-
Select Unpair.
This allows you to manage and customize your remote setup as needed.

4. How can I check if the Remote is connected to the M2?
When you notice a solid light on the Remote after powering it on, you will see a Remote icon without a cross in the top right corner of your M2. This indicates that the Remote is successfully connected to the M2. However, if the Remote icon is crossed out, it means that the connection to the device is not established correctly. Additionally, when the Remote is placed in the Dock, it disappears from the status bar.

Speaker can also be tracked within a 180-degree range wearing the Remote. The M2 does not physically move during this process. The tracking feature is made possible by a wide-angle 180-degree built-in camera that automatically adjusts its angle based on the infrared signal received from the Remote control.
7. How to Record a Multi-Remote Video
Turn on the M2 and pair the remotes by placing them in the M2 dock. Once they are paired, you can start an observational video. For more information on how to create and share an observational video, please refer to this article: How to Create and Share a Personal Observation Video from M2/MirrorTalk to Reflectivity.
After recording, the video will be automatically saved on MirrorTalk.ai, where you can switch between the remotes to listen to each student or group of students
If you uploaded the video to Reflectivity, you can access and manage it from the Reflectivity platform as well.
