M2 organizes your teaching around two key concepts: Groups and Activities. Understanding how these work together helps you get the most out of your M2 experience.
What is a Group?
A group represents a class or section of students you teach. Groups help you:
- Keep teaching activities organized by class
- Track student participation over time
- Assign reflections to specific groups of students
- Review feedback for a particular class
Examples of groups:
- "Period 1 - English 10"
- "3rd Grade - Room 204"
- "AP Physics - Block A"
Creating Groups
To create a new group:
- Navigate to group management from the main menu
- Select "Create New Group"
- Enter a descriptive name for your class
- Configure settings and add participants as needed
Managing Multiple Groups
M2 supports multiple groups per teacher. This is helpful when you teach:
- Multiple sections of the same course
- Different subjects throughout the day
