Available for M2 users
After you finish an M2 teaching activity, you can assign a reflection so group participants reflect on the lesson you just taught. You set up the assignment from your Activity Dashboard, and participant responses appear in My Takeaways.
This article covers assigning a reflection after an activity is complete. To assign a reflection before you teach, use the Assign Reflection card when you create a new activity. See Setting up the Group Reflection.
Before you begin
Make sure you have:
- Completed an M2 teaching activity
- A group already created for the participants who will complete the reflection
- Enough session content for M2 to analyze the activity and generate feedback (sessions need at least 2 minutes of content)
Assign a reflection after your M2 activity
- On the Activity Dashboard, select the completed session you want to use.
- Review My Takeaways. This card combines your activity summary, recommendations, and reflection insights in one place.
- Optional: Select Reflect on the My Takeaways card to complete your personal reflection. When you finish, your personal reflection integrates into the Takeaways narrative.
- Select Assign.
- On M2 web, finish customizing the reflection and assign it to the group.
After feedback is ready, open My Takeaways and select Assign Participant Reflections.
What to expect
After you finish setup on M2 web:
- The reflection is assigned to that group
- You can copy the assignment link and share it with participants
- As participants complete the reflection, their responses appear on your Activity Dashboard
- Completed participant reflection insights surface in My Takeaways instead of a separate summary card
Personal reflection vs group assignment
Reflect is your personal teacher reflection. It is private to managers in the group and is not the same as assigning a reflection to participants.
Your completed personal reflection can appear as Personal Reflection Evidence and integrate into My Takeaways before you assign participant reflections.
Notes
- If feedback is still processing, wait until session analysis finishes before Assign Participant Reflections is available.
- Participant reflection assignments are supported on M2 web and the mobile app. Full customization still happens on the web.
- For objectives, reflection format, and prompt options, see Setting up the Group Reflection.
