Mirror and MirrorTalk

Group participant access types

Users with a Free, One, or Pro plan can create groups and invite participants to complete assignments in groups. There are three different settings for group participant access:

Login - Login groups require participants to register for a MirrorTalk account using an email in order to join the group and complete a reflection.

  • Participants in Login groups can navigate to their Dashboard, where they can view cards with insights and feedback for each of their reflections. They can also access recordings of their reflections via the reflection cards.
  • Group Owners of Login groups can view reflection cards for each user, as well as longitudinal data about participants in Login groups via the charts at the top of the Dashboard.

Session - Session groups require participants to be added to the group by name, with no email signup required.

  • Participants in Session groups receive immediate feedback after reflecting but do not have access to the Dashboard.
  • Participants can be added to a Session group in two ways: Group Owners can add participants by name via the "Manage Participants" button on the Dashboard, or participants can add themselves to a group by name when they navigate to an assignment link shared by the Group Owner.
  • Group Owners of Session groups can view reflection cards for each user, as well as longitudinal data about participants in Session groups via the charts at the top of the Dashboard.

Open - Open groups do not require a user to create an account or be added to the group by name.

  • Video is required for identification purposes for reflections completed in Open groups.
Participants in Open groups receive immediate feedback after reflecting but do not have access to the Dashboard.
  • Group Owners of Open groups can view individual reflection cards for each participant, as well as longitudinal data for their group.
